TARIFF HUMOR ... OR AT LEAST "HEADLINE OF THE DAY"

With Donald Trump seemingly bent on going through with his colossally imprudent and commercially irresponsible tariff tantrum on steel and aluminum imports, the European Union is preparing to retaliate with their own taxes on specific U.S. goods. Showing they understand politics in America, Europe is preparing to impose tariffs on products like bourbon, jeans, and agriculture, which are not so coincidentally produced in key congressional leaders represented by Senator Mitch McConnell (Kentucky bourbon) and Nancy Pelosi (Levis and agriculture).

London's City A.M. covers it all with the best tariff headline to date ...

For the young ones out there, the reference is to Don McLean's 1971 hit, American Pie ...
