SURFER RIDES BIGGEST WAVE EVER

... Guinness World Records recognized pro surfer Garrett McNamara of Hawaii for surfing the biggest wave ever on Thursday. McNamara caught the 78-footer off Portugal's coast in November. The 44-year-old surfer told Guinness World Records that it was “the most challenging, dangerous wave” he had ever surfed.

It's built in the UK, and is part of the "Cube Project."

They're marketing the Cube based on it's energy efficiency and use of space. My question is whether a good 5th wheel would be a better option.

CUCKOO ESPIONAGE?

In the "too funny to ignore" category ...

Apparently, in 2006, the Swiss government gave away at least 30 cuckoo clocks to foreign embassies, with cuckoo (?) birds that come out and take pictures.  

Upon learning that they had one of the clocks, a spokeswoman for the British ambassador reported that they have removed the clock from the dining room “as a precaution.”

The Swiss government is saying nothing, for the moment.

A SIGN THAT THE APOCALYPSE IS UPON US?

Anyone who has watched Repo Men (Jude Law & Forrest Whitaker, 2010) will find this interesting. It turns out that an anonymous parent in the Boston area posted an ad on Craigslist to offer their body parts to anyone who can pay off their child's student loans.

To be sure, no one will confuse the offer to sell their body parts with with "Repo Men 2011" (the Craigslist ad was taken down). Still, the fact that the ad was posted in the first place has to make you think about the direction of our society.
