WE NEED TO HOLD THE SABOTEURS OF DEMOCRACY TO ACCOUNT

When World War II ended in 1945 we had the Nuremberg Trials, to embarrass and convict Nazis, not every German.

When World War II ended in 1945 we implemented the Marshall Plan, to rebuild all of Europe, which helped repair the world.

When World War II ended in 1945 we embraced a containment policy, which helped defeat ideological fantasies centered around Marxist authoritarianism. 

Unfortunately, when World War I ended, in 1919, we did none of these things. America went it alone, ignored the budding nationalism of Europe, and let bygones be bygones. The provocateurs of past evils, betrayal and vengeance were free, allowed to reorganize. The serpents of Nazism would rise and choke the world.

Ignorance and stupidity don't learn from civility and accommodation. 

America needs to convict Trump and hold his saboteurs of  Democracy to account.
