U.S. CENSUS DEADLINE IS TODAY

As a reminder, the The U.S. Supreme Court moved the Census deadline from Oct. 31 to TODAY by 11:59 p.m.

Here's what you need to know - and do today - if you or your family have not filled out the Census.

* You can complete the census for you or your family by going to 2020censu.gov

* There are nine questions that include the name, address, race, and ethnicity of every person in your household, including children.

* All of your responses are CONFIDENTIAL.

* Know that if your family hasn’t completed the Census, you can fill it out on behalf of your family.

* There is NO citizenship question. Specifically, the U.S. Census count is based on actual people living in the U.S. So, yes, the Census includes citizens, non-citizen legal residents, non-citizen long-term visitors and undocumented immigrants.

So you know, the census is used to ...

1. Distribute federal and state funds for schools, education programs, health care, emergency services and roads, among other services.

2. Determine the number of congressional districts and representation.

It's estimated that for every person not counted in the Census counties across the country stand to lose about $20,000 per person over a 10-year period.

Help make a difference today in your community by filling out the 2020 Census.

- Mark
