THE SPIRIT OF PERPETUAL WAR IN THE 21st CENTURY ... WITH A SHAKESPEAREAN NARRATIVE

Blood and destruction shall be so in use,
And dreadful objects so familiar,
That mothers shall but smile when they behold
Their infants quartered with the hands of war ...

- Marc Antony,
in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar

... And Caesar’s spirit, ranging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice
Cry “Havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war ...

- Marc Antony,
in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar

... That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.

- Marc Antony,
in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar

Revenges burn in them, for their dear causes
Would to the bleeding and the grim alarm
Excite the mortified man.

- Manteith,
in Shakespeare's Macbeth

Let the doors be shut upon him,
that he may play the fool no where but in's own house

- Hamlet,
in Shakespeare's Hamlet

And let slip the dogs of war ...

- Mark
